Privacy notice

This notice explains how Animathos handles personal data when you visit animathos.com, send us a form, or email us. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Animathos Advisory AB, Gothenburg, Sweden, is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about privacy at contact@animathos.com.

What we collect, and why

• Inquiry form (consultancy page): your name and role, organization, work email, area of interest, your message, and whether you want our NDA. We use it to answer your inquiry and to prepare a possible engagement. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to business inquiries and preparing an engagement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). If you contact us as a private person about a contract with you, also steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Briefing request (homepage): your work email. We use it only to reply to your request. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Emails you send us: the content of your message and your contact details, to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Website operation: our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not send newsletters without your separate consent.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare's security systems may set a strictly necessary cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) when they check a visit for bots. If you switch between the Dark and Light Edition, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name color-scheme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Who processes the data for us

• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): website hosting, content delivery, security and form processing.
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA): delivers the messages from our forms to our inbox.
• Namecheap, Inc. (USA): hosts our email inbox (Private Email).

Each provider works under a data processing agreement. All three are US companies, so your data may be transferred to the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at contact@animathos.com.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and related emails for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless they lead to an engagement. Records about an engagement are kept as long as Swedish law requires, for example for accounting. Technical data that Cloudflare processes to deliver and protect the site is kept only as long as needed for that purpose, under Cloudflare's retention periods.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or move it to another provider. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest at any time. Write to contact@animathos.com. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
